Who are the Agricultural Task Force?
The Task Force is made up of the board members of
Cornwall Agricultural Council. It is their role to provide strategic
guidance to the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Objective One Programme
and represent the views of the Cornish Agricultural, Horticultural,
Food and land based industries. Within this role they steer the
work of the Agricultural Development Team, ensure projects fit the
County Strategy and inform the funding bodies about the Cornish
Industry.

On 7 September 2001 South West Quality Meat received £20,000 of Objective One funding to undertake a study in how to make Cornwall's red meat sector more competitive. Now completed, the study identifies ways to improve the position of the whole sector, an area that has been highlighted for investment in the Objective One Agricultural Task Force Strategy.
