The Learning and Skills Task Force was established to:

The Task Force was a sub group of the The Learning Partnership for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.This Partnership was formed in 1999 to encourage collaboration among those involved in post 16 learning. Members include the schools, colleges and other agencies delivering adult learning as well as representatives of the voluntary sector and business community.

The Partnership worked to achieve the broad aims set by Government and in particular to develop strategies which will achieve the National Learning Targets. Such strategies are likely to involve collaboration between all the partners, and such collaboration will result only from a development of mutual trust and understanding.

The link between the Task Force and Partnership was established to ensure that the Objective One Programme complemented the wider Learning and Skills agenda in Cornwall.
