Objective One invested in projects from a wide range of sectors of the economy of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. That’s why Task Forces made up of representatives of each sector were set up to encourage the development of sector strategies and consequent projects that supported each sector’s needs.

The Task Force strategies guided investment for their own special interest sectors – farming, fishing, tourism, the arts, heritage, culture, business, education and training, economic inclusion, transport infrastructure, etc – for Objective One and other sources of investment. Each Task Force’s strategy offered inspiration and direction to the sector and provided a backcloth against which the project quality could be measured. Copies of strategies for the period of Objective One (2000-2006) for each Task Force are available on this website.
