EIA for the dredging of Falmouth Harbour
EIA for the dredging of Falmouth Harbour has been awarded a priority 2.4 grant. This project is for an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of dredging a deep channel in preparation for planned far reaching improvements to the cruise terminal facilities and navigation at Falmouth.

Penwerris Neighbourhood Pride
Penwerris Neighbourhood Pride has been awarded a priority 4.1 grant. The aim of this project is to establish a social enterprise business with the Penwerris ward of Falmouth, providing gardening and handyman services to the area and helping the tenants and residents to live a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.

National Maritime Museum Cornwall visibility and access project
The National Maritime Museum Cornwall has been awarded a priority 5.2 grant. This project will protect the investment already made in the NMMC by improving visibility and accessibility of the museum to encourage more people to visit.

South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) was awarded a priority 2.5 grant. The project will build a new office, design and factory space at Bickland Industrial Estate, Falmouth.

Penwerris Community Regeneration Project Phase Two
Beacon Community Regeneration has been awarded a priority 4.1 grant. This project will support the employment of one Project Co-ordinator, one Community Support Officer and one Trainee General Assistant who will supply continued support and guidance to the residents of the Penwerris ward. They will be responsible for the development of key projects within the ward aimed at increasing employment prospects for the residents.

Trevorva Barns
ARC Addington Fund has been awarded a priority 4.6 grant. This project will secure the future of the barns at Trevorva Farm (currently owned by Cornwall County Council) for those in the land based sector whose skills, knowledge and entrepreneurialism could be in danger of being lost. This project will achieve this by providing affordable accommodation for those active in the land based and agricultural economy and provide opportunities for retiring tenant farmers to vacate their holding thus providing new opportunities for the next generation.

Agricultural Waste Plastics Study
Cornwall County Council have been awarded a priority 4.6 grant. The project funded assessment of the technological, economic and practical feasibility of a scheme to collect and reprocess farm waste plastics into a feedstock form.

Falmouth Fishselling: Scallop stock control FEP 830
Mr M Greet has been awarded a priority 4.7 grant. This project involves the installation of a weighing machine that is linked to computer software so that all scallop date can be accurately recorded and maintained on a database. It will print labels that can be scanned so that information about the scallops can be traced through the supply chain.

Pendennis Castle Barrack Block
English Heritage have been awarded a priority 5.2 grant. This project extensively refurbishes the Grade 2 listed Royal Artillery Barrack Block building at Pendennis Castle. New attractions include an interactive exhibition that brings the castle to life, educational facilities for schools and a new hospitality suite.

Combined Universities in Cornwall (CUC) Phase 2, The Fal Project
Truro College has been awarded a priority 2.7 grant. This project will construct a new building at Truro College which will act as a focal point for all higher education students. The new building will also host the College's business centre as a pragmatic way of developing higher education opportunities that directly address the needs of business.

Mineral Tramways Heritage Project Stage 2
Cornwall County Council has been awarded a priority 4.8, 5.2 and 5.5 grant. This project is the final phase of the main works to implement the Mineral Tramways Strategy for Cornwall's central mining district. The project will integrate all the trails and sites that have been completed in the earlier phases to achieve the major environmental and economic benefits envisaged by the strategy.

Heritage Economic Regeneration Falmouth
Carrick District Council Priority 2.2 project to improve Falmouth's town centre. The Heritage Economic Regeneration Scheme (HERS) is a package of heritage grants designed to bring extra income into Falmouth by making the town more attractive to visitors and thereby capitalising on the new National Maritime Museum which is due to open in 2002. The project has been developed by Carrick District Council in a bid to encourage investment in Falmouth by improving the condition of historic buildings in the commercial heart of the town between the Moors and the docks.

Development of Callestick Farm Ice Cream
SS, J, JS and AMC Parker Priority 4.6 project at Perranporth. Over the next three years the farm, which produces Callestick Farm Cornish Dairy Ice Cream, aims to expand and refurbish its premises, install new equipment and develop its business further as a tourist attraction. The investment will sustain jobs, create new employment opportunities and increase demand for goods and services from local suppliers.

St Agnes 'No Take Zone' (NTZ) Demonstration Trial
Cornwall County Council Priority 4.7 project to establish a 'no take zone' in one of Cornwall's shellfisheries. It is the first of its kind in Europe and was set up in 1997 by St Agnes Quay Fishermen's Association, who designated part of their usual shellfish fishing grounds as a closed area where the fishermen have agreed not to fish in an attempt to conserve crab and lobster stocks.

The Objective One fisheries grants will provide three years' funding to help the project to assess its effectiveness as a tool for helping inshore fisheries stocks around the coast. If it is a success, there is a chance further areas will be designated by fishermen. The project will employ a project officer to raise awareness, tagging and measure lobsters and promote the No Take Zone debate in Cornwall.
