CUC Phase 2 University College Falmouth
CUC Phase 2, University College Falmouth has been awarded a priority 2.7 grant. This project proposes to undertake a second phase of capital build at the CUC Hub in Tremough. The project will be jointly carried out with the University of Exeter to provide 8107m2 of floor space. The shared space will provide seminar rooms, Learning Resource facilities , administration and social space.

CUC Initiative Phase 2 Development, Pre tender design
The Combined Universities in Cornwall has been awarded a priority 5.3 grant. This project comprises a suite of work packages, each of which will enable a capital element of CUC phase 2 to be tendered.

Cornwall College has been awarded a priority 4.6 grant. This project will establish a dedicated training centre for the agri-food sector for training new and existing people in the sector, encouraging technology transfer, product development and sharing best practice.

Cornwall College: Chunks 2
Cornwall College has been awarded a priority 3.3 grant. The aim of the project is to widen participation in higher education through the promotion, development and delivery of flexible, higher level, stand alone modules of and full Foundation Degrees. The project will be targeted at 1500 beneficiaries including SMEs and their employees and the wider community to include unemployed people, those wishing to embark on a career change and those returning to education.

Community Futures Fund Phase 2
Cornwall Enterprise has been awarded a priority 3.4 grant. This project is a continuation of the Community Futures Fund which is a global grant scheme for 'local social capital' projects in the Objective One area of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (excluding Carrick District Council Area). It provides pre-matched grants up to £6,000 to beneficiaries for a range of eligible activities which will improve their employability.

Cornwall County Council has been awarded a priority 5.1 grant. This project will begin the implementation of the Cornish Language Development Strategy and test the assumptions made within it. The project will establish a work programme for the future through which Cornish can contribute to the cultural, economic and social growth of the region and will also include baseline research.

Fresh Start Loan Fund
Cornwall Enterprise has been awarded a priority 4.6 grant. The Fresh Start Loan Fund will be a repayable aid scheme that is open to tenant farmers and new entrants to the land based sector. The fund, contracted to SWIG, will be a lender of last resort to stimulate industry restructuring.

Extended Learner Fund
Cornwall County Council has been awarded a priority 3.8 grant. This project will extend the current learning support fund, created to support learners facing financial hardship. In addition to supporting young people, aged 16+, for the first time in Cornwall there will now be enough money to support schoolchildren aged 14-16 who are at risk of dropping out.

Targeted Extended Learner Fund
Cornwall County Council has been awarded a priority 4.2 grant. This project will use the highly regarded CAT delivery model to support individuals in Cornwall's targeted wards who wish to re-engage in learning. The project will extend the Learning Support Fund, currently available through FE Colleges, to support the work of the wards existing agencies with people facing multiple disadvantages.

This project will work within community and children's centres in the 18 most deprived wards in Cornwall, offering 1:1 vocational guidance and personal development training to people with emotional/mental health needs, using the services of the Employment Placement Advisers.

Pentreath Ltd has been awarded a priority 3.4 grant. This project will offer 90 people experiencing mental illness the NVQs 'Community Mental Health Work' and 'Training for Trainers', helping them both to work as Mental Health Awareness trainers and to apply for care sector jobs. In addition the project will provide personal development training and employment advice to people within community and children's centres.

Cornwall College has been awarded a priority 2.7 grant. This project will provide new Higher Education facilities at 6 Cornwall College campuses around Cornwall, catering for new courses and extended provision of some existing courses. The colleges are, Camborne, St Austell, Newquay, Stoke Climsland, Rosewarne and Saltash.

Family Learning Years (FLY2)
Cornwall Adult Education Services (CAES) Family Learning has been awarded a priority 4.2 grant. This project bases specialist tutors in Children's Centres across Cornwall to encourage families to learn together. It will also fund the recruitment of Bookstart Co-ordinators.
