Not everyone has to go through the full Objective One application process in order to benefit from the funds available. As part of the programme, a range of Gateway Funds and other projects offering grants, loans and business support have been developed to support specific sectors and needs within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Packages such as Gateway Funds support a range of small projects with a similar theme - examples could be farm tourism, film-making, training grants, business start-ups or the horticultural sector.

All the Gateway Funds and other financial packages set up for these purposes are Objective One projects in their own right.

Some schemes already have match funding in place - meaning they may be able to provide grants of up to 100%. Applications that meet the aims of these projects will also be much quicker and simpler than developing a direct bid for funding from the European Structural Funds that finance Objective One.
