University College Falmouth's Summer Shows 2007 showcase the best of the best

Final year students from University College Falmouth will exhibit an impressive selection of cutting-edge work from a diverse range of courses at the college's annual showcase, which takes place from Tuesday 19 to Saturday 23 June 2007 at its Woodlane Campus in Falmouth and Tremough Campus in Penryn.

The Woodlane Campus in the heart of Falmouth will be opening its studio doors and inviting visitors to enjoy work produced by students from its Fine Art, Graphic Design, Photography, Journalism and Illustration degree courses, its postgraduate diploma in Creative Advertising and its postgraduate diploma/MA in 20th Century Art & Design.

The college's Design Centre at its Tremough Campus will showcase the very best graduate work from its Contemporary Crafts, Spatial Design: Interior & Landscape, Textile Design, Garden Design: Arts & Environment and 3D Design degree courses.

There will also be media screenings from graduates of the college's Broadcasting and Film Studies degree courses from Wednesday 20 to Saturday 23 June at Woodlane.

"This year, our focus will be on celebrating the achievements of our graduating students and the phenomenal breadth of their creativity," explained Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment, Jeremy Whitaker. "We are looking forward to welcoming the local community to enjoy the eclectic range of work that will be on show, and on the Saturday, there will be a special Art Trail for children to follow."

There will also be a barbecue, bar and light refreshments available at the Woodlane Campus on the Saturday, and a free bus service will operate between Woodlane and Tremough from 10.45am to 4pm. Buses will run continuously between those times from the stop outside King Charles School, Woodlane, and will also stop in Penryn outside the Seven Stars public house on their way to and from Tremough.

Summer Shows 2007 are open to the public from 10am to 6pm on Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 June, from 10am to 4.30pm on Friday 22 June and from 11am to 4pm on Saturday 23 June. All are welcome. Admission is free.
