Nick Johnson awarded an MBE
The
Objective One Partnership would like to congratulate Nick
Johnson, Head of the Cornwall County Council Historic Environment
Service, on being awarded an MBE in the latest Honours List.
Mr Johnson has played a key role in the Objective One programme,
working closely with the Partnership Office on several important
projects including the bid for World Heritage Site inscription
which Cornwall and West Devon won last July (2006). He has
also been involved with the Cornwall and Scilly Urban Survey
(CSUS) – a highly detailed report of 18 towns which
is intended to act as a blueprint for planners and developers
while protecting the historic environment - and town regeneration
projects (Heritage Economic Regeneration Schemes and Townscape
Heritage Initiatives) across Cornwall.
Carleen Kelemen, Director of the Objective One Partnership,
said: "Congratulations from all at the Partnership Office
on receiving this MBE. Nick's untiring dedication, energy
and focussed commitment has been an example to all.
"Cornwall's natural and historic built environment are
key features of the character of this region. Objective One
has set out to preserve and enhance this character while at
the same time driving forward economic regeneration. Nick
has played an invaluable role in putting together projects
that will achieve this."
