Further expansion for Cornish marketing company
A
Penryn marketing firm is celebrating expansion after a new
public relations assistant joined the company.
Katie Enright, who graduated from University College Falmouth
in journalism in 2006, has become part of team at mpad. She
joins the Waterside House based firm under the Unlocking Cornish
Potential (UCP) scheme.
"We're really pleased to welcome Katie to
the team," said mpad's managing director,
Mark Picken. "There were some fantastic applicants
for the position through UCP, but Katie shone out. Over the
last 18 months the marketing and public relations side of
our business has grown dramatically. We now have 15 clients
on monthly retainers. Katie's journalistic skills mean
that we will be able to increase our levels of service, as
well as attract new business."
Katie, who lives in Camelford, said: "I'm
really looking forward to working at mpad. It will be quite
a challenge but I'm excited about developing my career
working on with some fantastic clients and on some excellent
projects."
Neil Roach, project officer for UCP said: "We're
pleased to have mpad on board. Mark already mentors one of
our clients and Katie will enjoy her time there and hopefully
develop into an excellent marketing and public relations consultant."
Talking about the UCP scheme, Mark said: "I think
it's a fantastic scheme. For us it has meant that we
have been able to grow but will benefit from support from
the UCP, as well as the financial side. Our project manager,
Neil Roach, has been really helpful. Going through the application
process with us and now offering ongoing help for the duration
of the project."
