Pure Cornish water enterprise making a splash

Just Water, a fresh new spring water company sourced and bottled at Trekillick Farm near Bodmin, opened their doors recently with the help of representatives from the organisations that have been part of the company’s success story, becoming part of the factory line.

The brand new bottling plant they helped to create uses state of the art machinery sourced primarily from the West Country. Already supplying many local clients, owners Pauline and Colin Dyer are preparing for a busy summer season with the rest of the family. Richard Macdonald of the NFU claimed that “The great challenge for Cornwall is how to turn change into opportunity. Diversification within the agricultural community is producing a river of exciting new products.”

Pauline and Colin bring a high quality natural product with true Cornish pedigree to the table. Investment from Business Link, through the Objective One funded Cornwall Food and Drink Partnership Scheme and Objective One allowed them to develop a purpose built system to filter and bottle the naturally occurring spring on their family run farm. Business support and advice from Mid Cornwall Enterprise Trust has proved invaluable to Just Water, who have also worked closely with the environmental health authority and Cornwall Taste of the West.

Just Water is a local enterprise ensuring consistent hygiene, quality and reliable delivery throughout the year. “We knew we had to diversify our farm because of the state of the farming industry. There is an outstanding natural resource on our land, which was an obvious opportunity. It’s taken two years to get the business to this stage but with a lot of hard work, we have diversified our dairy farm,” said Colin. “We believe in the quality of our local produce,” said Pauline.
