Business Task Force chairman visits Poland

Cornwall's Objective One Business Task Force chairman Richard Newman has visited Poland to share with Staropolska Chamber of Commerce and other organisations how to support small businesses.

Mr Newman told a conference in Kielce near Krakow, that they have to work in partnership to support small and medium sized enterprises.

He is Cornwall Regional Chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses and sits on the Objective One Partnership Programme’s Business Support Group as well as chairing its Business Task Force.

Mr Newman’s talk follows a meeting in Cornwall in January with Artur Bartosik, President of Poland’s Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Ltd (SCITT). He was invited to go to Poland by the Department of Trade and Industry through the Government Office for the South West.

Following the conference, Mr Newman held talks with Poland’s Regional Government, the SCITT and Staropolska Chamber of Commerce and Industry about the way they are supporting business.
