RECOGNITION FOR RED STORE PROJECT

The project to restore the Red Store in Lerryn has been short listed for a prestigious award. As part of the 'Heritage Heroes' scheme, the Heritage Lottery Fund are making awards to outstanding projects chosen from throughout the South West. The Objective One invested Red Store project is one of three short listed within the Buildings and Monuments category.
"We are delighted to have got this far in the process, during the event to announce the nominees we saw many outstanding projects and we realise that the competition was, and is, fierce. We look forward with great excitement to the announcement of the winners in March" said Barry Campbell-Taylor, Project Co-ordinator.

Organisers of the Red Store Project, St Veep and St Winnow Parish Councils, have organised an open day on 5th November at the Memorial Hall in Lerryn. From 10am until 5pm, all are invited to come and see comprehensive plans and full details of the project, a display of historical artefacts and documents relating to the Red Store and information on our nomination for an award under the Heritage Lottery Fund's 'Heritage Heroes' scheme.
We hope to provide a fascinating, informative and fun event.

At midday, all those involved in the project will be taking part in a 'Virtual toast'. As part of the Heritage Lottery Fund's 10th anniversary celebrations, groups throughout the country, are being asked to simultaneously 'raise a glass' to celebrate all the projects which have been, and are, being made possible by lottery funding.

The organisers will be enthusiastically participating in this part of the proceedings!
