Christmas hampers with Cornish fare
Garden of Eden, based at Treskilling, near Luxulyan, was
launched in November by Christine Bainbridge and Sally Heard, who were
supported by Objective One investment from both Taste of the West and actnow.
They supply specialty hampers full of delicious Cornish
produce via their website – www.gardenofeden.uk.net – and brochures.
Two hampers have been specially put together for Christmas
and are under the seasonal hampers section on the website.
Christine said: "All our hampers would be wonderful
to give or receive at Christmas. However, we have designed two specifically
with Christmas in mind. These are the St Just Hamper and the St Ives Hamper.
We believe these are the perfect gift for Christmas or New Year, without
the hassle. We can deliver throughout the UK and include a personal message."
The St Just hamper, costing £40, includes a bottle
of Polmassick Kea Plum Dessert Wine, a luxury Christmas pudding and Trenance
Chocolates. The St Ives hamper, costing £65, contains a bottle of
Camel Valley Brut 'Cornwall', Menallack Farm cheese, Newlyn
Olives with orange, thyme, coriander and garlic, Trenance Chocolates,
a luxury Christmas pudding and oaten biscuits.
Other hampers are also available priced from £25
to £320.
"You can also make one of our other hampers more festive
by including a luxury home made Christmas pudding. We can include a Christmas
pudding in any hamper at an additional cost of £15 for a 900g pudding.
We have also had a limited batch of wonderful quince jelly made and packaged
in kilner jars and again could offer this as an extra item in any hamper
at a cost of £5," continued Christine.
"Last date for orders is Tuesday 21st December, however
we recommend that you place your order as soon as possible."

£3 million Objective One gateway project, funded by the European
Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF), the Department
for Food, Environment and Rural Affairs (Defra) and private matched
funding. It is part of the Taste of the West regional food group.
Cornwall Taste of the West's four year project includes a
trade development programme and a marketing grants scheme, available
to small and medium sized food businesses that produce, sell or
process foods in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
The actnow programme is a demand
led initiative to encourage businesses in Cornwall to gain the support
they need to move into the new broadband economy.
Broadband operates at much higher speeds than a standard internet
connection with consumer products typically 10 times faster and
business products up to 40 times faster. Products can be ordered
from a range of service providers.
Project partners are Cornwall Enterprise, BT, Cornwall County Council,
South West of England Regional Development Agency, Cornwall County
Council, Business Link, Cornwall College, Defra, the Cornwall Broadband
Partnership and Objective One.
