Plenty of Takers Down on the Farm
Nanjerrick Court
office suites
Stags Professional Department in Truro brought 2,400 sq.ft
of brand new office space at Nanteague Farm, Marazanvose to
the market at the end of September 2004. The development,
known as Nanjerrick Court, consists of four separate office
suites ranging in size from 350 800 sq.ft. with a total
floor area of 2,400 sq.ft. The building, a former milking
parlour, has been carefully and specifically designed to provide
the sort of high specification office workspace which is in
demand from today's modern business user.
With an excellent location in the A30 corridor, and in close
proximity of Truro plus good parking facilities and an attractive
rural environment, the office space found ready demand from
both private businesses and local authorities. In the end
terms were agreed with H2OK Systems Limited, a local firm
of environmental consultants specialising in the waste water
and sewage field, who are relocating from their existing premises
at Indian Queens. Simon Kearsley of H2OK said "Nanjerrick
Court is just what we were looking for. Our expansion plans
meant we needed good quality office space close to the main
arterial route into and out of the region and with excellent
parking facilities for our 25 staff. Mr Viv George (owner)
has certainly been well advised with this project."
The lease was completed shortly before Christmas with H2OK
moving in the following day.
The overall project clearly demonstrates how redundant rural
buildings can be reused in today's commercial market place
to everyone's advantage. The project has recieved Objective
One investment via Business Link's Rural Diversification Capital
Grant Initiative. Marilyn Pryor, Contract Manager for the
Rural Diversification Capital Grant Initiative commented "Nanjerrick
Court is an excellent example of the regeneration of outdated
farm buildings which both meets local commercial demand and
helps to maintain a viable farming unit."
Gareth Rowe from Stags' Truro Office who specialises in rural
planning and farm diversification matters has seen the project
through from conception to letting. As Mr Rowe says "There
is good potential for farmers and land owners to redevelop
redundant and outdated buildings for alternative use provided
they are in the right location with good access and deliver
what the market place requires."
