Support Services for Businesses
in Cornwall
Truro College Business Centre launched the
third phase of the Cascade Project at the College on Wednesday
9th February. The breakfast presentation was attended by some
65 professional people including accountants, bankers and
solicitors.
Cascade is designed to assist businesses with
their plans to:
Start up
Develop
Expand or diversify
Leading to:
Improved financial performance
Creation of new jobs
Safeguarding existing workforce
Those attending the launch will be accountants,
bankers, solicitors and others working with SMEs in Cornwall.
Eligibility: Small and Medium Sized Enterprises
(SMEs) based in Cornwall private sector businesses
with fewer than 250 employees and with a turnover of less
than Euro 50 Million.
The current Cascade Project is based on 4 years
of experience of delivering support to SMEs through Phases
"1" and "2" of the Project.
Cascade, is an Objective One gateway fund which
has received investment from the European Social Fund to provide
subsidised support across a range of measures to include:

Diagnostic analysis of business needs |

Assistance with preparation of a business plan, plus
a detailed follow-up to facilitate implementation of the plan
and one-to-one mentoring over an 18 month period |

Business Seminars |
|
Bespoke Training Courses |
|
Professional Qualification Courses |
|
Networking via the Cornwall Business Club |
The Project will be delivered by a team of SFEDI*
Accredited Business Advisers Richard Simeons, Bob Egerton
and Steven Bennett together with an IT Adviser, Suzanne Allin.

Cornwall which is the Objective One flagship project.
