New Soap Range Set to Create Lather
Thanks to Major Funding
Sheryl Young displays her range
of Seboni projects
It won't be just guests at Sheryl Young's Cornwall hotel
that are feeling pampered with her exquisite luxury soap.
Thanks to a major investment from Truro based Finance Cornwall
she is set to create a lather with a whole new range of unique
aromatherapy products aimed at the retail market.
Until now Seboni toiletries have only been available at Sheryl's
hotel, The Lugger in Portloe. But their overwhelming popularity
among visitors has inspired her to create an exciting series
of shower gels, shampoos and soaps called Seboni Cornish Spa
Essentials.
Finance Cornwall's £50,000 investment is certain to
ensure the products made from only natural ingredients reach
a wider market. The funding package forms part of a larger
investment towards an expansion programme which will see Seboni
toiletries increase in size to suit the retail sector. Bottle
sizes will increase from 60ml to 250ml.
Sheryl said: "We're creating a serious luxury brand
of toiletries which are made from natural ingredients. We
initially went into making soap after we were unable to find
a suitable product for our hotel guests. But it has been such
a success that we know there is a demand for a wider range
of products which we're sure will find a niche in the retail
market." She added: "All of this has been made possible
by Finance Cornwall, they're really helping me to grow the
business. They have been terrific."
Sheryl was inspired to create her own toiletries after a
search for the right product for her guests proved fruitless.
Taking its name from the Cornish word for soap, the Seboni
range is crafted from unique blends of essential oils reminiscent
of the natural scents and essences of the Cornish coast. The
Seboni range has been created in house by Sheryl with products
being outsourced to a full-time aromatherapy goods manufacturer.
Finance Cornwall chief executive Robin Teverson said he was
delighted to have been able to assist Sheryl in her flourishing
business venture. "Seboni is an exciting range of
products which we look forward to seeing in the shops around
Cornwall. I'm sure they are going to prove a big hit with
shoppers. And it's great to see a small business making an
authentic product using local natural ingredients. Sheryl
has been a great customer and we wish her every success with
Seboni."
