Try the Great Taste of Organic at
Royal Cornwall Show, Wadebridge, 9 - 11 June
Visitors to the popular Food and Farming marquee are in for
a tasty treat at the Organic South West stand (no. 401). Featuring
some of Cornwall's top organic products, cookery demonstrations
and a free book about organic farming for children, Organic
South West want people to try the 'great taste of organic'
for themselves.
Cornwall has an excellent track record for producing quality,
innovative organic food, some of which will be used at the
show in live cookery demonstrations by local chefs. A popular
event at last year's show, visitors can sample the end results
and try the 'great taste of organic' for themselves. Amongst
the Cornish organic producers joining Organic South West are
Carleys of Cornwall and Barwick Farm, with samples of their
delicious range of organic products including this year's
basil pesto and Cornish clotted cream.
Staff from Organic South West, an organisation invested in
by Objective One and Defra to promote organic food and farming
in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, will be on hand to provide
information to farmers, local businesses and consumers on
everything organic.
Local herb growers, Westcountry Nurseries, are also launching
a range of organic culinary herb packs at the show with Italian,
French, English, pesto and medicinal herbs.
