Woodland and Spring Flower Walk
On Sunday 29 May, Project Co-ordinator Fiona Edwards will
be running a guided walk open to all at Porth Reservoir near
Newquay. Managed by charity South West Lakes Trust, Porth
is a popular coarse fishery which has received investment
from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Objective One through the
European Regional Development Fund, Restormel Borough Council,
Cornwall County Council, County Environment Trust and Porth
Anglers to enhance and improve the existing facilities and
environment around the water in order to provide new access
for both the able and less able.
Fiona invites anyone interested to join her on a woodland
and spring flower walk amidst the amazing scenery of the reservoir;
it will be a moderately easy walk, meeting in the Porth car
park at 10.30am. Further information on the walk and the Porth
Project is available from Fiona on 01566 771930 or 07739 428172.
For further information contact Lisa Tame, Marketing and
Publicity Officer on 01566 771930 or email: ltame@swlakestrust.org.uk.
The Objective One Programme for Cornwall
and the Isles of Scilly has invested in the Porth reservoir
environmental improvement project through the European Regional
Development Fund (ERDF).
