Village centre regeneration - have
your say!
Mineral Tramways is an exciting new funding bid
which involves the Objective One funded Kerrier District Councils
Regeneration Team developing village centre regeneration schemes
which may then be funded by Objective One.
Projects could include bus infrastructure and integrated
transport schemes involving buses in the rural part of Carn
Brea Parish, park and ride schemes, cycling, community and
traffic safety and road schemes such as junction improvements.
Chair of Carn Brea Regeneration Advisory Committee, Councillor
Malcolm Moyle, says, We want to consult with local communities
on the potential schemes which have already been specified
by Carn Brea Parish Council and the local Regeneration Committee.
In addition, people may like to consider what they view as
important schemes for their area.
Eligible villages include Penhallick, Bosleake, Tregajorran,
Brea, Carn Brea and Four Lanes.
Carn Brea Regeneration Officer, Steve Horscroft, added, "In
order to qualify for Objective One we are particularly keen
that schemes have a job creation flavour and that the projects
that go forward can contribute to increased visitor numbers
in the areas to enable this to happen.
