Business leaders welcome new online jobs market for Cornwall

Business leaders in Cornwall today welcomed the launch jobsincornwall.co.uk, the new website dedicated to employers and jobseekers in Cornwall.

jobsincornwall.co.uk, which went live on 6 January, is a unique locally owned and managed online job market website that aims to bring together as much information as possible about what jobs are available in Cornwall into one easily accessible place.

The new jobs website made use of the aid available under Cornwall's Objective One Programme, particularly Let's Do IT, Enterprise Edge and Act Now, to establish its cutting edge technology for the use of local employers and job-seekers.

Richard Newman, Chairman of the Objective One Business Task Force for Cornwall, warmly welcomed the announcement saying: "Business sectors in Cornwall, particularly the construction industry, report a shortage of skilled labour that is preventing some firms from growing. The dedicated jobsincornwall website will be a crucial resource in the awareness of employment opportunities, which will hopefully lead to satisfying the demands of Cornish firms.
