CORNISH FOOD AND BUSINESS WEBSITE GOES LIVE With the launch of its website in early December, Cornwall Taste of the West adds another service to its members and to food and drink businesses in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The service also extends to consumers wanting to know more about the best of Cornish food and drink. “It will be a one-stop shop in a website that will give businesses and consumers easy access to everything they want to know about our grant schemes, our Objective One programme and where to find top class Cornish food and drink,” said Carol Trewin, Cornwall Manager of Taste of the West. “We hope to make the new website the first site visited by businesses, consumers and tourists, both within the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Objective One area and across the rest of Britain, when it comes to wanting to find out more about the best Cornish food and drink.” For businesses the website, www.cornwalltasteofthewest.co.uk,
has comprehensive information on grant funding available through its Objective
One programme. It also gives details of shows and events the organisation
is supporting or organising, and other services provided by Cornwall Taste
of the West and its parent organisation, Taste of the West. It provides
easy links to other Objective One funded umbrella schemes and relevant
business services. “Cornwall produces some top class food and drink, but not everyone knows where it can be bought or which pubs, hotels and restaurants concentrate on serving local produce,” Carol Trewin explained. “This site will provide the answers to those queries and will continue developing to match the growth in interest in local food and drink.”
