Fifteen Cornwall trainees sourcing trip to the Cornish Pig Company and recipe competition

The Fifteen Cornwall trainees will be continuing their exploration of local produce at the Cornish Pig Company, near Truro, over the course of two days at the beginning of August. As part of the event, the trainees will be asked to come up with an original recipe for burgers using pork mince – the students will make and cook the burgers while at the Cornish Pig Company, and these will be taste tested by a seasoned panel of experts. The creator of the winning recipe will receive a prize. The two days promise to be informative and fun for all participants.

Local media are invited to attend at pre-agreed times in order to ensure that everyone has ample interview and photography opportunities.

The Fifteen Cornwall Training and Development Chef Fiona Were and Support and Personal Development Adviser Jodi Redgrove will also be available for interview about the progress of the trainees.

For further information please contact Jo Davey at Fifteen Cornwall on 01637 861000 or email jo@fifteencornwall.co.uk.

The Objective One Programme for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly has invested in Fifteen Cornwall through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Cornish Pig Company via two European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund (EAGGF) gateway funds, one run by Business Link and the other by Taste of the West.
