National Strategic Reference Framework reaction

The National Strategic Reference Framework has today been published by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It states that the South West of England Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) will take over management tasks from Government Office South West in the next round of European structural fund programmes.

Carleen Kelemen, Director of the Objective One Partnership, said: "The South West Regional Development Agency has been a trusted and valuable partner during the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Objective One Programme. SWRDA's work and investment under the Objective One Programme has been a key component of the partnership effort that has been carried out so far in regenerating this region's economy. SWRDA will now be playing an even more central role for the upcoming Convergence Programmes - which will be based on partnership working and the current successful platform of the Objective One Programme."
